Where did your name come from?

Q: Where did your name come from?

A : Hmmm !! Interesting question.. Never gave attention on my name – but I know so many people with my name BHARAT ( भरत ) around me… at least 10 to 15 whom i know since ages and in regular touch with them. People with name BHARAT usually needs to be know by their Surname or some attached nickname. I think in our country if boy is born and his sun-sign/rashi is Dhanu or Saggitarius ; first name people chosen was BHARAT ( भरत ).

As I searched for answer to this question… getting good feeling and happy to know meaning of my name !!

It originates from the Sanskrit word “Bharata” which stands for ‘Agni’ meaning fire.
